Hi there,
Thank you for looking at my profile. Since retirement in 2002, I have had the luxury of time growing my life time “interest/hobby “of making art. I work with acrylics, oils, beeswax and water colours; the latter being my preferred medium, producing paintings in the impressionist and realism genres. The challenge of using of water colours, is a bit like living in the sometimes uncontrollable world around us. Using this medium, I reflect my interest in the Australian landscape, it’s surrounding seascapes, animals, birds and flora…. all provide plenty of subjects, challenges and pleasing results. It seems to me that people like the realism/impressions I depict. Perhaps they bring a stability to the fast moving world we all find ourselves living in??? If that is so, then there is another reward, my ‘time out’, when ‘I go somewhere else’… making a painting! I have been described as an established artist of the Adelaide Hills with works in some 15 countries, all Australian states and territories and a growing list of awards from EXHIBITIONS and ART SHOWS. Having conducted solo charity exhibitions in 5 states, teaching water colours, conducting workshops, being an artist in residence, I accept commissions and conduct, Charity Exhibitions. I am a member of the Painters of the Flinders Ranges, the South Australian Watercolour Society, the Hills Art Collective, (Mt Barker Station Masters Gallery (Strathalbyn) and the Kapunda Community Gallery. The studio/gallery (11 TREMAYNE DRIVE Mt Barker) is also open by appointment.. Contact Details Trevor Hancox PO Box 353, Mt Barker. SA. 5251 Telephone 0427 734 071 E mail; tcmarg@bigpond.com |
